I asked for and received advice from the TradGang crew when I was designing my new shop.
Good comments on natural light, cross ventilation, flexible layout, power, storage etc.

Here's a couple of staves I'm working on now. One is my last stave from a log I got in Kentucky. It was cut in 1994. My hunting bow was made from the same log. The other one is from a tree I got in 2001 with John Scifres and Darren Shue near Kokomo. I cut out the knots, I need to do some straightening.

The road widening down the street resulted in a few trees being cut. Someone was kind enough to cut two sections of bow wood in perfect sizes for billets. About 12 inches diameter. I have them split and ends sealed.
