I made a little progress on the green stave. I trimmed it and I will make a kid's bow out of the trimmings. The stave is fairly uniform 2 inch wide, squared with the back, just a little sapwood left over the first yellow ring. Shellac on the back and ends. Posted by Hello

Here's a stave split this week. Dart was surprised when it twisted like this. He traded it to me for a dry straight stave (and a semi-dry locust stave). I'm gonna rough it out and steam it while it's green. Posted by Hello
